Orzeszki z Mlekiem w Proszku (Nuts with powdered milk)

Nuts with powdered milk are shortcrust cookies in the shape of walnuts filled with delicious milk cream.

Prep: 20 mins

Cook: 10 mins

Serves: 60 - 70 nuts

INGREDIENTS:

PEANUTS CAKE

350 g of cake flour
50 g of potato flour
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar
1 cold egg
1 cold yolk
200 g of cold butter
2 tablespoons of cold water
pinch of salt

CREAM WITH MILK POWDER

3/4 cup of milk
1/2 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar
200 g of butter at room temperature
1 3/4 cups of powdered milk

PREPARATION:

cup = 250 ml.

Sift the flour into a bowl along with the potato flour, powder and powdered sugar. Add the remaining ingredients and chop with a knife or shortcrust pastry chopper. Then knead until a uniform and smooth dough is formed. Form it into a ball, wrap it in foil and put it in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight. After this time, heat the pan on gas or use an electric pan. Form small balls from the dough, which should fill approximately 1/3 of the space in each cavity. Fry the peanuts until slightly golden on all sides.
Pour the milk into a pot and add sugar and vanilla sugar. Cook until the sugars dissolve. Remove from heat and leave to cool. Mix the soft butter for a moment and alternately add the milk mixture and sifted milk powder in several portions.
Fill half of the peanut with about 1 teaspoon of cream and cover it with the second shell. We do this until all cookies are used. Store in a tight container in a cool place, e.g. a refrigerator.
